Meet Joshua Chan! Gymnastics Announcement

If you guys have been around the gym over the last week, you have probably noticed a flock of people around a certain new coach: Joshua Chan! We are excited to announce Joshua as a new coach at CFR who will be implementing a Gymnastics program at CFR. Joshua will be coaching the new 10am Gymnastics class on Sundays. In addition to a weekly Gymnastics class, Joshua will be offering personal training sessions at a discounted rate for CFR members. Below is Joshua's bio and more information on personal training. Here is some more information about Joshua:

Joshua grew up in Mexico City. He started doing gymnastics at the age of 9 and has since dedicated his entire life to training and coaching elite gymnastics. Joshua trained for five years before moving to Los Angeles in 2006. In this little break he had from gymnastics, Joshua played for his school´s soccer team and became and avid runner, successfully completing the Los Angeles and San Diego Marathon.

At his return to Mexico, Joshua continued to pursue his gymnastics career and landed a spot on the National Team. Unfortunately he suffered an injury that put him out of competitive gymnastics. He then partnered up with his coach and started a gym. Joshua trained and coached numerous gymnastics to regional and national championships. He has also taught adult gymnastics classes proving that it is not only for kids with super human abilities but for people of all ages that want to learn and develop skills in a safe, controlled manner.

Joshua was first introduced to CrossFit at our home, CrossFit Redondo. He was immediately blown away by it and loves the interdisciplinary nature of CrossFit. Joshua is excited to both bring in his knowledge and experience of gymnastics as he is to learn from the extraordinary athletes CrossFitters are.

    12 Thrusters (95/65)
