So there's been a little push-back from the "chalk punishment".  I will say the members that came today did their 16 wall walk warm up with very little complaint. In the gym, at work, and in life in general their must be accountability for our actions. That doesn't change at CFR. What we are asking from our members is above and beyond the typical gym. First, we ask that you listen to the coaches and work as hard as possible. That's the easy part, everyone for the most part does a great job with that. But also, we ask that you be on time and pick up after yourself. It's a higher standard than say, a 24 hour fitness, where you could probably get away with not picking up your equipment for years. 

But we are CrossFitters, and we go above and beyond most normal fitness routines. We are also a team and in a lot of senses, a family. Once you join our community, you are immediately part of the team. This means we all sweat together, reach goals together, hang out together, and hold each other accountable. So if one day Dr. Dave forgets to pick up his wall ball, I expect someone else to "pick him up", because I know he would do the same for others. What I saw today was 8 people who made a mistake. But, if one of our members would have picked up the mop and cleaned their spot, I guarantee others would have followed suit. When we reach that level of everyone being on the same page and picking each other up (even drop-ins), we really have made at as a tight-knit team/family.
