About Power Yoga
Power Yoga is an athletic form of yoga, set to challenging postures that provide the therapeutic benefits of yoga while building strength and flexibility at the same time. This Vinyasa class focuses on connecting breath with movement which, among the many health benefits, offers an added cardiovascular practice that other forms of yoga do not have. Even though this is a challenging practice, this class will leave you relaxed, invigorated, and energized. And best of all, it is set to music!
CrossFit Redondo’s Power yoga is an all-levels class that will challenge beginners and seasoned yogis alike. Class sequencing is specially designed to help counter and supplement the WODs. Familiar props such as bands, PVC pipes, therapy balls, etc can be used to help get you deeper into the postures.
Ready to practice? Be sure to bring a mat, towel, water, and an open mind. Yoga mats are available at stores like Target, Marshalls, or Ross at very affordable prices (as low as $8). We’ll see you on the mat!
Adeline has been practicing yoga for nine years and is a registered 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance. Yoga has been an ongoing journey and learning experience that has exposed her to its many forms like Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikram, Yin, and others yet to be discovered. While recognizing the differing benefits of each school of thought, she found love at first sight when she began practicing Power Yoga which combined her love of activity and balance of the mind. As someone who is no stranger to CrossFit herself, she understands the importance of a well-balanced healthy lifestyle– of both the mind and body- and is excited to share her passion with the CrossFit Redondo community!
